Obituary

William H. Carter was born on April 6, 1934 to the late William H. Carter & Sophia (Kinney) Adams.

He suddenly departed on Saturday, August 27, 2016.  William was educated in the Galveston Texas School District.  He was baptized at his Grandmother's church in Galveston, Texas.  He then attended Houston Colored Junior College.  Then joined the United States Army on October 6, 1959.  In the mid 60's, he became a teacher at Westinghouse High School, and a member of the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers.  He also received his Electrical Certification as an electrician.  In 1980, he became an entrepreneur, opened his business "Sonny Electric" which was a successful business for 20 years.  In 2004 Mr. Carter opened Chatterbox Daycare Center and left it in the hands of his daughter Vanessa.  In 2006 he became an associate at the House Of Law Inc., until his sudden death.

William H. Carter is survived by his daughter Vanessa M. Brown, Darnell T. Brown (son-in-law), Grandchildren; Channing, Albert & Chanelle King, Great Grandchild, Hailey Marie King, Monroe Law, a host of cousins and his Lifetime Friend Patricia English.
