Dwight M. Law, FD

President, Supervisor

Dwight M. Law attended the Donora and Ringgold School Districts before continuing his education at Kent State University. He later graduated from California State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and also completed his studies at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Dwight served his funeral service apprenticeship at John Thomas Chapel in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, where he gained valuable hands-on experience in the profession.

Throughout his career, Dwight has had the privilege of working under giants of the industry, including his father, Percy E. Law Jr., as well as Quinn R. Banks, Donald Law, E. Scott Law, George Warden, Frank S. Striffler and Orlando Boston. These experiences helped shape his dedication to professionalism, service, and compassionate care for families.

Chandra M. Law, FD

Director of Operations , Supervisor

Chandra M. Law is a Pennsylvania Licensed Funeral Director dedicated to serving families with compassion, dignity, and care during some of life’s most difficult moments. Born the ninth of eleven children to the late Charles and Rosemarie Sanders of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, Chandra developed a deep appreciation for family, faith, and community early in life.

She attended West Virginia University and has built a professional career grounded in service. Chandra is also a licensed Notary Public, a licensed insurance agent, a Biblical counselor, and a Certified Celebrant. Her diverse background allows her to support families in both practical and meaningful ways as they honor the lives of their loved ones.

Chandra serves on the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS) and brings more than 20 years of managerial experience in the hospitality and service industries. Her professional approach is guided by empathy, professionalism, and a sincere desire to help families navigate the funeral process with comfort and confidence.

Chandra often shares that “her trust in Christ is her foundation,” a belief that inspires her commitment to serving others with grace, compassion, and respect.

Mark Sanders

Family Support/ Building

As the middle child of eleven siblings, he developed a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and family values early in life. Prior to joining the House of Law, Inc. as an Associate, he spent 38 years working as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to travel extensively and live in numerous states across the country.

He currently resides in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania with his beautiful wife, Gail. Deeply committed to service, he remains actively involved in supporting his local community, contributing to family businesses, and serving faithfully within his church home.

Karen Murray

Office and Family Support

Karen Murray has been a valued member of the House of Law team since 2016. Prior to joining the firm, she dedicated 34 years to the Pittsburgh Public School system as a Speech and Language Pathologist, where she worked closely with students and families to support communication and learning.

Throughout her career, Karen has also served as a crisis worker and as the Director of Foster Care for a nonprofit agency. In addition, she has worked as a private contractor specializing in educational advocacy for children, helping families navigate educational systems and secure the services their children need to succeed.

In her spare time, Ms. Murray enjoys reading, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family.

Anthony Johnson

Family Support/Audio Tech.

Anthony “Ant” Johnson is a sound engineer, producer, and musician known for his precision and attention to detail. He takes pride in doing things the right way, ensuring every project meets a high standard of quality. If it sounds good, chances are he had a hand in it.

Outside of his professional work, Anthony remains dedicated to his craft, constantly creating and refining his sound while striving to bring something better to every opportunity.

Floyd Coles Jr.

Family Support/Driver

A graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School, he began his professional journey by enlisting in the United States Army, where he served honorably for three years. Following his military service, he attended ICM School of Business and was recruited by Honeywell Corporation to lead the Computer Department in Ithaca, New York.

After returning to Pittsburgh, he began working for the Veterans Administration before transitioning to a long and distinguished career with the United States Postal Service. Over 43 years of federal service, he held a wide range of roles, gaining extensive experience across departments. Starting as a school bus driver, his transportation expertise led to key opportunities within the Postal Service, where he managed transportation operations, trained employees to operate vehicles, and became a licensed tractor-trailer operator—driving over 300 miles daily for a decade. He later advanced to supervise contractors and contributed to employee engagement through the Social & Recreation Committee, helping organize discounted community events.

In addition to his professional achievements, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to community leadership and mentorship. As a Scout leader with Troop #760 at Bethesda Church in Homewood, he mentored youth and helped guide two individuals to the rank of Eagle Scout. He also served as Exalted Ruler of Northside Lodge #124 for seven years and was honored as Worshipful Master of one of the oldest lodges west of the Allegheny Mountains, a historic foundation for Prince Hall Lodges in the region.

Continuing his legacy of service, he has served as President of the Pittsburgh Local of the National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees since 2017. In this role, he has hosted national conventions and championed initiatives such as Founders Day and scholarship programs.

Percy E. Law III

Office Manager

After graduating from high school in 1986, he honorably served four years in the United States Army as a Finance Specialist. Following his military service, he began a distinguished 22-year career with Peoples Gas, where he held multiple roles including Equipment Operator, Pipefitter, and Corrosion Specialist. His strong work ethic and leadership abilities led to his promotion into management, where he served as Supervisor of Operations.

Building on his extensive operational and leadership experience, he later joined McConway & Torley Manufacturing as a Quality Control Manager, overseeing standards and ensuring product excellence.

In 2021, he brought his diverse skill set and commitment to service to House of Law, Inc., where he currently serves full-time as Office Manager. In this role, he continues to demonstrate strong leadership, organizational expertise, and a dedication to supporting both the team and the families they serve.

Having grown up in the heart of the funeral home, service to others became second nature early in life. He later returned to the family business, continuing a legacy of compassionate care and dedication to the community.

A proud father of four sons and a grandfather, he brings both personal warmth and genuine empathy to every family he serves. Known for his lighthearted spirit and sense of humor, he strives to bring comfort, connection, and even moments of joy during life’s most difficult times.

Tara L. Law

As a third-generation member of the House of Law family, she was introduced to the profession at an early age, when funeral services were conducted in her grandparents’ living room. She later resided above a funeral home, formative experiences that instilled in her a deep understanding that service extends beyond an occupation—it is a lifelong calling.

Her professional background includes experience across a variety of service-oriented industries, equipping her with a broad perspective and a strong commitment to excellence. She is currently pursuing formal education in mortuary science to further enhance her knowledge and ability to serve families with the highest level of care and professionalism.

As a devoted mother of three sons, she exemplifies a life grounded in service, whether through community involvement, personal wellness, or her ongoing support of the families she serves. She remains committed to upholding the distinguished legacy of House of Law, Inc., ensuring that every family entrusted to her care is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. She embraces the guiding principle that it is better to know us and not need us than to need us and not know us.

Office Support

Jeanine is honored to provide part-time office support for House of Law Funeral Home, an organization she has long admired for its excellence and compassionate care. Having personally experienced their services with her own family, she developed a deep appreciation for the dignity, comfort, and support they provide to families during life’s most difficult moments. Being part of that mission is especially meaningful to her.
Jeanine is also a licensed Realtor® with over 12 years of experience serving clients across Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. She is known for her thoughtful guidance, tenacity, and commitment to helping clients navigate the complex process of buying and selling real estate.
Before transitioning into real estate, Jeanine spent 31 years with Alcoa as a technologist, contributing to research projects in the automotive and aerospace industries. The role often required quite a bit of travel, which she loved.
She also served Macedonia Baptist Church, Jeanine served on the Team of Deacons and later the Board of Elders. She also managed Macedonia Books and Gifts and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Macedonian, the church’s newsletter.

Kedron Phenizy

A devoted disciple of Jesus, he leads his life with faith, compassion, and purpose. After serving in the United States Army, he transitioned into civilian life carrying with him a strong sense of discipline, integrity, and commitment.

Known for his outstanding work ethic and empathetic nature, he approaches both personal and professional relationships with care and understanding. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and staying active in the gym, valuing both mental and physical growth.

He is a proud parent of two children and grandson , who continue to inspire and motivate him to lead by example and make a positive impact in all areas of his life.

Nicole Taylor

Nicole Taylor is an intern at the House of Law, where she brings compassion, dedication, and a strong sense of pride to her work. A 2024 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Nicole is committed to continuous growth and development within her field.

Outside of her professional life, Nicole enjoys reading, shopping, traveling, and exploring new foods. She deeply values time spent with her family, especially with her daughter, who she considers her greatest accomplishment and primary source of inspiration.

Nicole is passionate about making a meaningful difference and strives to have a positive impact on everyone she encounters.

Samuel Karter

Family Support/Building

What started as a path in music eventually led to an unexpected calling for Samuel. After working in his older brother’s casket shop, building custom caskets, he began collaborating more closely with funeral homes—taking measurements and preparing for services.

Over time, what wasn’t once a dream became a true passion. He developed a deep respect for the work and the environment, finding purpose in helping families during difficult moments. With a natural gift for restoration and presentation, he takes pride in making the departed appear peaceful, as if they are simply at rest.
