Hattie Daniels
March 7, 1924 ~ June 17, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years OldHattie Ophelia "Fay" Daniels, daughter of the late Fred Bigelow and Nettie Smith. Hattie was born on March 7, 1924 in Richmond, VA. She later moved to Pittsburgh, PA and attended and graduated from Fifth Avenue High School. At an early age she found Christ and joined Bethel A.M.E. Church where she was a dedicated member of the Sunday School as a teacher, Stewardess board and Senior Choir.
She was united in Holy matrimony to Henry L. Daniels in February of 1943. Their union was blessed with 3 children.
Hattie retired from The Visiting Nurses Association where she was a dedicated nurses aid and cared for many families. As a result of her generous spirit and beautiful personality, she was loved by many. Her Christian was as beautiful and flourishing as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all she touched. She never hesitated in lending a helping hand. She quietly departed this life and joined God, Saturday June 17, 2017, at home with her daughter.
Her victorious life will forever be cherished in the lives of the people she touched. Her children, the later Robert Daniels, the late Raymond Daniels and Linda Thompson. Hattie had 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and multiple great-great grandchildren, devoted family members and friends.
