Dorothy Ruth Campbell

Dorothy Ruth Campbell was born on July 30, 1941 in Brewton, Alabama.  She was born to the late Eugene and Maggie Moore.

“Dot” as she was affectionately known graduated from Booker T. Washington High School the 30th of May 1961.

She gave birth to her one and only son, Harold L Louis Jr. in 1963. Dot was married to Clifford Campbell on July 15, 1981.  They were married for 20 years until he died in 2001.  

She loved yard sales, working in the garden, taking care of her plants, and cooking.  Dot also enjoyed spending time with the family. She was the aunt that everyone wanted to hang out with and her laughter was contagious.  She loved making people happy.

She is survived by four sisters, Stella Dukes, Naomi Muldrow, Alma Brown and Mary Linear; one brother, Eugene Moore; two grandchildren, Shannon E. Louis and Stephan L. Louis; one great grandson, Kali A Louis; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Now we have to wait on that time that John 5:25  speaks of when the dead will live again.

And Jesus took His own hand and wiped away her tears.

And She smoothed the furrows from her face.

And the angels sang a little song.

And Jesus rocked her in His arms.

And kept a-saying:
