You were such a beautiful soul. We weren't close, but when you would come to church with your family you always had a smile on your face. That's how I'll always remember you. Keep watch over your little girl and wife. To the family: stay strong. He may be gone from Earth but his spirit still lives on. I'll miss you Dan.

To my family,
I was so saddened to hear about Daniel's transition from the earth. But God had a bigger plan for him and eventually for all of us. Praising God that his legacy will continue and his life will touch so many others. I'm praying for all of you during this difficult time while you mourn and heal, especially to Amanda, Alecia, and Carla. I love you and I'm only a phone call away.

I closed my eyes and imagined sending my child away. Away to a place in need of the love in her spirit, and the wisdom in her words. A place that, without her, seemed lost. I imagined all of the lives she touched, smiles she made, and moments that would forever change the lives of everyone she met! I imagined counting down the days until she would once again be in my embrace, and a second seemed like a lifetime.
I imagine that is what God felt when he sent Daniel down to become the powerful force of love that he was, and I can't help but to imagine the warmth of God's embrace when his child came back home.
Family, you all are in my thoughts and daily prayers. I won't pretend to imagine that I know how it feels to lose a brother, father, husband, or only (biological) child, but I do know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Dan's spirit was unmatched and I know he rests with God.
I love you all so much.
