Yvonne McWilson

Yvonne Davis McWilson was born on March 15,1937 in Ronco, PA and was called home June 13,2020.

 She was the youngest daughter of the late Geary Davis and Georgia Thomas Davis of Masontown, PA and the youngest of five sisters: Norma Powell of MD, Georgia Anthony (deceased) of PA, Ardafay Roberts of MI (deceased) and Winona Polk of NC (deceased).

 Yvonne and her sisters, who were known as ‘The Davis Sisters’, sang and recorded gospel songs throughout the tri-state area.

Yvonne graduated from German Township High School located in McCellandtown, PA in 1955. Upon graduation she moved to Pittsburgh where she met Coleman McWilson (deceased). The two were united in marriage in 1956 and from that union they were blessed with four children: Daric, Darlanda, Darico and Darmella.

She was an employee of the U.P.M.C Health Care System for 48 years. Immediately after Yvonne’s retirement she relocated to Goldsboro, NC where she resided for several years before returning to Pittsburgh.

Yvonne had undying faith in God, she enjoyed singing praise and worship and reading. Yvonne enjoyed sewing and quilting.

She leaves to morn: her children Daric McWilson (Cheryl) of Columbus Ohio, Darlanda McWilson-Harris (deceased), Darico McWilson (Tiffany) of Pittsburgh PA and Darmella McWilson of Columbus Ohio. She will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
