Yvonne Arretta (Utley) Marshall

Yvonne Arretta Marshall was born on November 17th, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Nelson Utley Sr. and Margie Mae Bridgett-Utley. Yvonne passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, and late brother Nelson Utley Jr.

She was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School District. Despite becoming a young mother, Yvonne continued to thrive in life. On October 22, 1977, She married Harry Marshall, Jr and, 2 years later, she began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Kane nursing facility where she dedicated 35 years until she retired in 2016.

Her kindness, love, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love for the Lord, her children, and her grandchildren filled her heart and soul. She had an incredible ability to make those around her laugh, feel loved, and feel cared for. Her legacy of warmth, resilience, and unconditional love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by brother Richard H. Utley (Audrey), her three children: Stacey Louise Hawthorne, Harry Orlando Marshall III, Lorin Nicole Marshall, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nephews Nelson and Michael Utley and a host of great nieces and nephews.
