Yvonne Frye Obituary

Yvonne E Frye was born Tuesday, July 27th 1937 in Colombia, South Carolina, to the union of Ethel and Joseph Wise Sr. The family moved to New York before coming to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Yvonne was educated in the Pittsburgh public school system, and was employed by Highland Park Center as a supervisor for years until she retired. Yvonne (aka Bookie) loved playing cards, fishing, watching western movies, and loved being with her family.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Yvonne was married to Chester W Frye (proceeded) and had three children through this union. Chester Frye Jr. (proceeded), Rena Frye and Letha (Lisa Frye. Yvonne was proceeded in death by both her parents, Ethel and Joseph Sr. Wise, two brothers Joseph (Evelyn) Wise Jr., Leroy (Christine) Wise, two sisters Ester Annette Wise-Bratcher and Zettie Jarrett.

Yvonne departed this life peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. She leaves to her memory, her two daughters Rena & Lisa, grandchildren Chester IIl, Laneron & Jeremy, great-grandchildren Anasjae, DaeShawn, Aaliyah, Anaya, Amaya, JaScere & Trayron, great-great-grandchildren Christina, Journi, A'Hana, Ca'Reim & A'Lora. And many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many other friends.
