Vance Ricardo Snell II, 40, was born February 1, 1984, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the proud son of Vance R. Snell and Andrea Snell. A Highlanders graduate of Peabody High School’s Class of 2002, he later attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he pursued his interests in sports medicine. Vance later built his career at Monarch Student Transportation Group, where he faithfully worked for 12 years. A dedicated and hard-working employee, he took pride in his role, earning his CDL and becoming a valued member of his team. His coworkers and friends knew him as someone who they could always count on. Vance’s personality radiated love and kindness. His infectious laughter, jokes and video memes would always brighten the day for everyone who knew him. Known as a gentle giant, he had the biggest heart that surrounded everyone he met. He was the kind of man who would go out of his way to help anyone in need, no matter the time or place. Outside of his career, Vance found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His fiancée, Danielle, was his soulmate, with whom he shared countless memories over the years. His loyal dog, Dillon, affectionately known as his “four-legged son,” Dilly was always by his side, providing unconditional love. Vance loved to ride motorcycles and later became an active member of the Pittsburgh Ruff Riders since 2009. He was given the name “VIP”. Vance was an avid sports fan, loved family fishing trips, cookouts, worked on cars and motorcycles especially with sounds and rims. He truly enjoyed attending car shows with his Dad or watching them on TV. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and special cousin and Eric Frazier who was more like a brother to him. As a compassionate friend, a supportive son, an incredible brother, Vance’s presence was a source of comfort, strength, and joy to his parents. He had a special relationship with his sister Jada and called her “Monkey”. His legacy continues to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. Vance departed this life on October 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Elmore and Eva Snell, who left an indelible mark on his life and character. He is survived by his devoted parents, Vance R. Snell and Andrea Snell; sister, Jada Snell; fiancée, Danielle Jackson; grandmother, Betty Trice; Godsister Lucinda Green, and a very large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom were blessed by his presence.
