Treay Jason McClendon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1989, to Troy Walker Sr. and Melissa Ann McClendon. He attended Wilkinsburg School District and graduated from Wilkinsburg High School. He enjoyed playing basketball and also had a poetic talent and was the author of many poems. Treay had an exceptional personality and was an extremely kind-hearted and caring young man. However, his family was his life. He loved spending time with all of them; whether it was a family cookout, traveling, or just hanging out on the porch laughing and talking with his brother Troy who was his best friend. His smile was contagious and no matter what was going on Treay always had a smile. Treay exhibited a strong work ethic. He was employed at Shadyside Hospital and one week before he was to start his new beginning as an employee at the VA hospital, and unforeseen tragedy forever changed the course of Treay's life. After several years of continued critical care, Treay departed this life on July 1, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his grandparent, Leroy McClendon Jr., Lillie Ramsey, and John Ramsey Beautiful memories are left to his parents, Troy Walker Sr. and Melissa Ann McClendon; siblings, Troy Allen Walker Jr., Ebony Wallace, Kia Walker (who he always called for advice), and Jordan Tilghman; God-daughter, Aaniylah Mary Rouse; grandmother, Barbara Ann McClendon; Treays best friend who was always by his side, Khadiyjah Cook; aunts, Theresa Ann McClendon, Shara HowardMcClendon, April Ann McClendon, Donna Walker, and Dee Dee Walker; uncles, Leroy McClendon, Jamal Howard, John Walker, and Timmy Walker; God-mother, Shaunda Smith; two God-sisters and one God-brother; seven nephews; two nieces; and a host of cousins and many friends.
