Toni Helena DeVaughn was born on October 2, 1938 to James Allen and Gladys Franklin Allen. She was raised on Bedford Ave in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. In her youth, she attended Fifth Avenue School and Westinghouse High School.
Her love for people lead her to follow in her family footsteps and became an entrepreneur. As a business woman she ran a personal care home, provided childcare for families in need and opened her home to people who needed shelter. She was a believer of Jesus Christ and a member of Ekklesia Church of Turtle Creek. She loved her gospel music, in particular John P Key. She never missed a family function and enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She was a three time cancer survivor.
Toni passed away on May 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was perceived in death by her parents James and Gladys Allen, husband Richard DeVaughn and her brother James Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Paris Dudley (Keith), Audra Logan (Virgil), Kattree Thomas-Dunning (Terry), Rickki DeVaughn and one son Tony Phelan (Ronda). 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and 1 niece.
