Thomas Anthony Lewis was born November 20, 1948, in Donora, PA to his parents Walter Lewis and wife Aileen, and passed away quietly on April 9th, 2025, in Pittsburgh.
Thomas, also known as (Tommy) was raised in Donora with his siblings Marlene, Gregory and Ernest where he attended Donora public schools and graduated High School in 1967.
After graduation Tommy relocated to Washington DC, where he was employed with the Library of Congress, during that time he also studied martial arts, achieving brown belt status. Surrounded by family and friends he lived in the northwest part of the city, he had a good run there. After returning to western PA, he lived between Donora and Pittsburgh, his last residence being on Hay Street in Wilkinsburg. Tommy was a simple quiet man, who loved to talk about current events. He would often engage in conversations with his neighbors in his apartment complex and various people in the community. He was known for helping people as he walked throughout the community.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father Walter, Mother Aileen and brother Gregory. He is survived by sister Marlene and brother Ernest. Nephews: Clarence, Eric and Terrelle. Nieces: Laneeta, Maureen and Shannon, along with many family members and friends that will mourn his departure, celebrate his life and time spent together.
