Tameka Jones

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the beloved daughter of Darlene Lane and the late Ben Chandler. She was lovingly raised by Mahalia and Budna Austin, who also preceded her in death. Tameka was educated in the Pittsburgh Public Schools and graduated from Carrick High School.

On September 30, 2023, Tameka united in marriage with Kevin A. Jones.

Together they shared a beautiful life filled with travel, vacations, family outings, and a mutual love for cooking and baking. Tameka was the loving mother of her children, all bearing the Suttles family name: Mark Jr. (Miquel), Damien (Julia), Antoine, Jasmine, Shree, Gregory, Tyrese, Jerome, Lanaya, and Honey.

On December 1, 2025, Tameka peacefully transitioned from this life-to-life eternal.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Kevin A. Jones; her children; her brothers, Douglas Lane, Lamont Lane, and David Lane; her sisters, Lillian Lane and Renada Lane Patterson; and her siblings on her father's side. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.

Tameka found great joy in bringing her family together for holidays, picnics, and trips. She especially loved watching football with her husband and family and was a proud and enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Tameka's warm spirit, dedication to family, and love for life will be forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
