Shirlene Floyd
October 16, 1960 – March 18, 2026
Shirlene Floyd of Greensburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.
Born on October 16, 1960, Shirlene was the beloved daughter of the late Sterling James and Jacqueline Floyd. She was raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Westinghouse High School.
Shirlene was an extraordinary sister, mother, and grandmother who raised all of her children on her own. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own. For many years, she served as a foster mother, opening her home to children from difficult circumstances and giving them a chance at a better life. In times of hardship, she taught us to lean on the Lord with unwavering faith and trust Him to make a way.
She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she shared so freely with everyone she met. She had a special gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Whether through kind words, quiet strength, or simple acts of love, she left a lasting imprint on her family, friends, and community. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Shirlene is lovingly survived by her four children, Jamon Styles, Jarrod Miller, Deasia Floyd, and David Floyd; her two grandchildren, Ausia and Armonie Styles; her great-grandchild, Naomi Styles; her sisters, Jeanean White and Virginia Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love and light remain ever present in the hearts of those who loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Living Word Congregational Church, 2003 Ridge Road, Jeannette, PA 15644.
