Sean "Nitty" Reese Obituary

Sean Anthony Reese was born on July 8, 1985, in Pittsburgh PA to Ondii Jones and Melvin Reese the third. He departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2020.

Sean grew up  in the Wilkinsburg and Homewood communities and resided in the Penn Hills area of Pennsylvania. He was a 2003 graduate of Perry Traditional Academy.  Sean developed an interest in various sports at a early age. However football was his passion. He participated in Midget League, played football throughout high school and was on the football team for Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). During Sean's Junior and Senior years (2001-2002) at Perry Traditional Academy, he was recognized as the #1  All City Defensive Player. Sean was a die-hard steeler fan.

Sean was a young man with big dreams and aggressive goals. During his short life span he became interested in a variety of job opportunities and occupations. His vast array of experience included: mentoring youth; employment with the AYA Initiative (youth leadership); construction (specializing in masonry); machine operator at McConway Torley; Department of transportation, Anderson Chimney; and was a Family Intervention and Prevention Specialist for the Community Empowerment Association

Meeting and speaking with people from all walks of life and exploring business ventures was exciting to Sean. He was committed to using his innovative spirit, people skills, talents and resources for improving the quality of life for himself, his family, and community. This led him to pursue various entrepreneurial initiatives. Sean could not resist getting his hands on a microphone or DJing for friends and "firing" up a party. He did graphic designs, was a manger of local artists, entertainment promoter and sole owner of Secrets Night Club in Hollywood. His desire was opening a restaurant in the near future featuring breakfast foods.

Although Sean was consistently engaged with numerous projects and reaped benefits from personal and community related successes, he especially valued time with his children, parents, best friends and Significant other and best friend - TaRonda, his friends would jokingly say he craved food, ripped on people, was a "Mamma's Boy", a winner, and chronic complainer when anyone would disturb his peace or interfere with his immediate of long-term objectives.

Although a pandemic existed, Sean's last few days were spent developing strategies to reopen his club, expand his horizons, bring new entertainment to the city, and help create job opportunities within his community. For those that knew and loved him most, cherished memories of his spirit of hope and what he stood for can forever live in their hearts.

Preceded in death: Grand-Parent, Antoinette Supples; Great Grand-Parent, Mildred Williams (Maternal); Melvin Reese Jr, Irene Jackson (Paternal). Within days of Sean's passing his maternal grandfather, Gerald Lee Grant passed away.
