Ruth Robertson

Ruth Robertson, 86, of East McKeesport PA passed away on December 1st after battling Covid. 

Ruth was born July 14, 1935 to John and Willie Mae Holt. She graduated from Westinghouse High School and later married James Robertson from that union two children were born, Kimberley and Melanie.

Although Ruth only had two biological children, over the years, she “adopted” many, many children. Her life was one of service where she considered cooking her ministry. If you were one of the fortunate people who made it to Ruth’s cookie distribution list, you experienced her ministry of cooking/ baking and love. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others. 

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, two sisters and six brothers.

She is survived by her daughters: Kimberley Moorefield, Melanie Goodwin, grandchildren: Shereece Moorefield and Michael Moorefield Jr., great granddaughter: Sirinity Moorefield, three sisters: Elizabeth Thomas, Mary Flowers,  Willa Robinson, son-in-law: Harry Nyantakyi and a host of other relatives.
