Robert F. Taylor of Pittsburgh, PA departed this life for eternity on May 25, 2022 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Robert was born May 18,1947 to the late Willie Forrest Washington and Helen Taylor in Welch, WV. Robert graduated
from Norfolk-Elkhorn High School in 1965. During his high school Robert was the first black quarterback of the football team ,
leading the team to winning season. Robert was also a member of the championship Glee club.
Shortly after high school, Robert relocated to Pittsburgh ,PA where he began his career as a steel worker for LTV steel where he
worked until he retired in 1997. Robert returned to the workforce as a maintenance supervisor at the National Aviary where he worked
until retiring again in 2015 . Robert had an undying love for all things Pittsburgh sports and worked as an usher a Forbes Field , Three
Rivers Stadium PNC Park, and Heinze Field, and Petersen Events Center where he worked until his demise.
Robert is preceded in his death by his father , Willie F Washington : mother Helen Taylor , and sisters Elizabeth Taylor and
Deborah Jeffcoate. He leaves to cherish his memory his stepmother Hortensia Washington : companion Donna Allison : his children Dawn(Gary)

Re'Vaughn Jr. Dre'marr, and Dream Marie; sisters; Gwendolyn Gilbert, Henrietta Adams, and Rita Johnson; brothers Derrick (Shanita) Washington,
Raymond (Christine) Taylor, and Thomas Gravely, and a host of relatives and friends.
Robert will be remembered most for his love for his family, his companion, friends, music, and sports. Though sometimes stern, Robert had a heart of gold
and would do anything for those he loved. While he is no longer with us on earth , his legacy of love will live on forever!
