Robert Alan Day (Bob or Bobby) received breath from God on February 19, 1957, and he entered the arms of God on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Robert, affectionately known as Bob or Bobby, was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School District and attended Westinghouse High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army in which he did his training in Fort Leonard wood, Missouri or as he would call it “Fort Lost in the Woods” .He worked as a Chef at Tambellini Restaurant, LTV Steel as a Steel Worker, Robert Wholey’s as a Certified Butcher, and his last place of employment was at Witt Pest Management as an Exterminator. As a result of a long-term illness, Robert regretfully went on disability retirement. Upon retirement, he focused on his health and spent lots of quality time with his family and significant other, Barbara and family. Robert occasionally traveled to see family in Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, and Ohio.
As a young man, Robert developed a love for joking, fishing, sports, traveling, writing recipes, cooking, and TV shows, especially Marvel movies. He was the master chef for most family functions, and while doing so, he was known for making family and friends laugh until they cried. Robert was a diehard Pittsburgh Steeler fanand he talked plenty of trash while watching the games. His infectious spirit, smile, and laugh will forever be missed.
Although Robert enjoyed a lot of things in life, the most important thing to him was his family. He loved hard and always made sure he showed his love. Robert was extremely proud of his daughters, bonus son and grandchildren. He also had a deep love for his significant other and his sisters.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Corrine and Lawrence Day, Sr. and brother, Lawrence Day, Jr. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his significant other Barbara Pippens, two beautiful daughters, SunDiotta Page and Tamika (Jimmy) Mahomes; bonus Son, Terrelle Page; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorene Duncan, Marcella Ely, and Kimberly Day; special Aunts, MaryLou Brown and Tina Brown; significant other, Barbara Pippens; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of close friends.
