Robert Kenneth Burgess

Robert Kenneth Burgess was born in Franklin, PA July 7, 1941, to Charles and Betty Burgess. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1944 with his family and grandmother, Rose Law.

Robert graduated from Westinghouse High School and worked several jobs to support his family. Robert was trained through the Pittsburgh Plan’s Apprenticeship Program. As an Electrician he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5.

Robert met Delores Oliver and her two daughters, Lenita and Shawn and married them in 1974. He brought to the family his son Kenneth and from the unity of the marriage Robert Eric was born.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Paul, Walter, Richard, James, Wayne, and Harold, and sisters Marie and Betty and Daughter-in-Law Tanika White Burgess.

He leaves a grieving family, his wife Delores, daughters Lenita (Dorien), Shawn, and sons Kenneth, and Robert Eric. His grandchildren: Eric Micheal, Sierra, Dymond, Kane (Alexus), Kaniya, Kenneth Lamonte, Lorrelle, Eddie, and Dorien, Jr. His Great Grand Children: Milan, Eric Oliver, Jr., Amani, Ameila, and Amoire
