Richard Allen Wells was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1929. He was born to the late Edward and Rebecca Wells.
Richard was educated in the Monongahela School District After graduation we enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. After four years of dedicated service he was honorably discharged.
He was employed Swank Refractories for twenty-five years. He was then employed with the Liquor Control Board retiring after years of employment.
Richard met and married the love of his life, Sarah Jefferson. To this union, one child, Kurt Anthony Wells was born. He was a superb father and friend never missing any sport events with Kurt and showed his support in every dream Kurt had. He loved his family and was married to Sarah for over 60 years.
Richard was involved in music for his entire life. He was music promoter for R & B and school Band music. He was a member of the Elks, and Legion. Life was Good!
On December 7, 2020, Richard departed this life too soon. He was preceded in death by siblings, Bessie Paxton, Louise Law, Edda Wells, Naomi Warrick, and William Wells.
Left to cherish his memory is loving son, Kurt Anthony Wells; grandchildren of whom he adored, Kiana Wells and Kobi Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Richard will be sadly missed and we will always remember his favorite words.....“Great Scott”.
