Reggie Renaldo Reed, transitioned peacefully on January 6, 2021. Reggie was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 6, 1956 to Frances Houstler (deceased) and William Lynn (deceased) , both of Pittsburgh, PA. Reggie was also raised by his Dad, Ernest Reed. Reggie grew up on the Northside of Pittsburgh, PA and attendedPittsburgh Public Schools. Reggie moved to New Jersey and received his GED, attended college and was certified as a Nursing Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant.
Reggie held several positions throughout his life, but spent 22 years as a CNA at Medipex and 20 years at the Brain Injury Association as a Camp Counselor committed to serving the community and patients in need in Camden, New Jersey. Reggie returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA in 2016. He resided in Pittsburgh, PA until his sunset on January 6, 2021.
Reggie had a very big heart and had a passion for anyone in need. He loved his family and friends so sincerely and religiously prayed for all. Reggie often noted before his passing, that he did not want to be mourned but wanted his family and loved ones to rejoice and celebrate his life and the relationship and connection they had with him.
Reggie is preceded in death by Ernest Reed, Sr. (Father), William Lynn, Sr. (Father), Frances Houstler (Mother) and William Lynn, Jr. (Brother).
Reggie is the beloved brother of Gary Reed, Darlene Ingraham, Donna Reed Richbourg, Debbie Reed, Ernest Reed Jr., Deneen Reed, William Lynn Jr., Angela Lynn, Rhonda Lynn, Darren Lynn, and Sharika Houstler. Reggie has a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends. We will all love and miss Reggie!
Reggie will be fondly remembered for his thoughtfulness, winning smile, class and style. Most of all, Reggie will be remembered as being a great friend and confidant to his family and friends and a Godly man of great faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
