Rebecca Sue Florence

Rebecca Sue Florence passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2023. She was born in Linesville, Alabama on July 12, 1937 to the late William and Mittis Kerley. She was the youngest of nine children which all preceded her in death. The family moved to Pittsburgh, Pa when she was two years old. On January 22, 1960 she married AJ Florence Jr. together they raised three children; Don Carol, Sheila and Keith. She worked twenty years for Service Master at Western Psychiatric Institute until she retired in 2002. 

Rebecca was the matriarch of the family. She was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. When she loved you it was unconditional. You could go to her with any problem or situation. She would be honest, supportive and always helpful. Her home was a place where you felt welcome, safe and loved. Everyone came to her house on holidays and special occasions; she loved to cook and be surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed watching her favorite Tv shows, going to restaurants, going to estate sales and decorating her home. (New paragraph). Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years AJ and her daughter Don Carol. She leaves to cherish her memory two children; Sheila and Keith, two grandchildren; David and Keith jr, a great-granddaughter Arabella and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
