Raymond Bagley, Jr. Obituary

Raymond Bagley Jr departed this life peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 74.  Raymond was born on September 1, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Janet Bagley

The oldest of three children, he attended Schenley High School and, upon graduation, he went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force as an HVAC mechanic on C-130 aircraft.  His service took him to Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and to Howard AFB in Panama.  After completing his military service, he pursued higher education and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington.

Raymond dedicated nearly 40 years of his life to the U.S. Postal Service, working in maintenance and HVAC. He was proud of the work he did, and he spoke often about the people he met and the camaraderie he shared there. His passion for the job, his strong work ethic, and his willingness to advocate for others led him to serve as a union steward, always looking out for his coworkers, always offering wisdom, always showing up.

Those years in the Air Force and at the Post Office made Raymond a true jack-of-all-trades. If something was broken, he could fix it. If you had a question, he’d have an answer—usually with a story to go along with it.

He was well known for his enormous heart and his generosity; he loved to pass out silver dollars to anyone he met.

After hearing the testimony of a close friend, he decided to give his life to
Christ and accepted the gift of salvation.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Raymond III, two brothers, Craig Bagley (Regine), Darryl Bagley and a host of family and friends.

We celebrate a life well-lived
