Peggy Hunter, 95 received her angel wings surrounded by her loved ones at home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Peggy was born on March 16, 1929, to the late Arline E. Jones and Mary P. Jones in Bluefield, West Virginie. Peggy and her husband, Randolph Hunter, moved to Crestas Terrace, North Versailles, PA, where they raised nine children together. While living in Crestas, she was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Later, Peggy moved to Braddock, PA, where she attended New Hope Baptist Church and actively served on the Usher Board, the Kitchen Crew, and sang in the Hosanna and Senior Choirs. Peggy retired from Westinghouse Telecommunications Center after 20 years of service. In her spare time, she loved bowling and was part of a bowling team. She enjoyed going to the senior citizen center, crafting, and indulging her passion for shopping, especially for clothes and purses. Peggy was also an avid fan of her favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless, and loved watching basketball and football. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Randolph Hunter; two sons, Anthony Hunter and Randolph (Junebug) Hunter; her brother, Arline E. Jones Jr.; and two sisters, Phyllis Y. Jones and Delois A. Jones.
She leaves behind her loving children, Wanda V. Page of North Versailles, PA, Panela Hunter of Las Vegas, NV, Terrence Hunter of North Braddock, PA, Lamont Hunter of Braddock, PA, Jerome (Anita) Hunter of Whitaker, PA, Marcus (Tara) Hunter of Virginia Beach, VA, and Angela Swindle of White Oak, PA. In addition to her grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
