Patricia Cordice Obituary

Patricia Ann Cordice left this world unexpectedly on Thursday, November 28, 2024, to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 11, 1951, to John T. Bynum and Barbara L. Galloway.

Pat was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System and later took a few college courses while working at the University of Pittsburgh.

Pat was employed at the University of Pittsburgh for 26 years until her retirement in 2012.

Pat's warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was always willing to go the extra mile to help others. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in everything she did. Pat's thoughtful actions, earning her the love and admiration of all who knew her. Above all, Pat was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. As a committed member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Pat served on the Board of Trustees, demonstrating her devotion to her faith community.

With a green thumb, she nurtured plants as lovingly as she did those around her. She found joy in playing the piano, travelling and dedicating her life to doing God's work. Pat had a unique style and was an avid baker, delighting others with her culinary creations. The one word that truly captures Pat's essence is "classy." It's these qualities and so much more that will live on in our hearts forever. Her sharp wit, radiant smile, and love of life will never be forgotten.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara L. Galloway and father, John T. Bynum; her grandsons, Emmanuel Moore and Rayvaughn Perkins, Jr.; her sister, Shirlene Jones; her brothers, Keith and David Harris.

She leaves behind her children Rayvaughn Perkins, Sr. and Ebony Duncan (Otis); her sisters, Constance, Teresa, Rosemary, Janice and Bonnie; her brothers, John and Edward; her grandchildren, Rayoniah, Chantel and Otis; her great-grandchildren, ZZaine, Dallas, Juliana and Julien; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved very much.
