On June 5, 1947, Patricia Ann Andrews was born, the second child of the late Minnie Dean-Andrews and Curtis Andrews in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, PA.
Patricia graduated from Fifth Avenue High School in 1965. Always an advocate of education, she enrolled into the Median School to start her career as a Medical Assistant. While working in that field, Patricia attended Community College of Alleghny County majoring in Biology. After graduation, she achieved several more medical certifications at Montefiore and Magee-Women's Hospitals. Ultimately, she achieved her professional medical and technical specialties as a Board-Certified Research Specialist in Histology/Pathology. She then secured a position at Salk Dental School located on the University of Pittsburgh Campus. As a result of this position, which she managed for 32 years, the University of Pittsburgh Dental School maintained OSHA and CLIAA top tier laboratory licensure in the State.
Patricia will forever be remembered as an angelic spirit with a beautiful smile, helpful in a crisis and a wonderful cook. She was a role model we all tried to emulate in her dedication to stewardship, grace and Christian faith. Hwe gift as a seamstress allowed her to create and distribute close to 1000 face masks during COVID-19. In addition, she sewed costumes for Bethany Summer Camp, supported the Soul Fit Work-Out and Shawl Project ministries. Pat also participated enthusiastically in Heavenly Hands and was a faithful member of the Usher Board. Each of these groups held a special place in her heart.
Our family will always remember her as our Fachionista which we affectionately called "Delicious" She is preceded in her earthly transition by her parents, her brothers Robert James Andrews and Leard Pennywell and precious sister Adrian Pennywell.
