Obituary

Nadine Lee was born on February 23, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a twin and the youngest of five siblings born to Thomas Canty and Katena V. Pride. Her nickname as a child was “chicken” because she loved eating fried chicken. She attended the Pittsburgh Public School system graduating from Langley High School. Nadine had an exemplary work ethic. She was employed at several companies before she secured a dietician position at St. Clair Hospital where she worked for 32 years and then retired. Nadine had a very close relationship with her children and loved her 2 sons, Terrell and Michael, And loved her 3 granddaughters, Lillionna, Lasshaun, and Arionna dearly. She was also very close with her siblings. Her family was her life. She also had a passion for cooking big elaborate meals for family and friends. Her food was finger-licking good! She enjoyed social gatherings, bingo, and going to the malls to shop til’ she dropped! She was naturally very funny and loved to tell jokes. One of her favorite pass times was listening to music. She loved jazz, dancing, and watching old westerns and karate movies on television, which made sense because she was a black belt in Tae Keon Do in her younger years. She loved to wear different styles of hats. On June 11, 2022, Nadine departed this life. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Pastor Ozette Lee and Marva Rose Lee; and stepsister, Valencia Canty. She leaves cherished memories to her children, Terrell Lee and Michael Hill; granddaughters, Lillionna Strawn, Lasshaun Moran, and Arionna Hill; siblings, her twin sister, Annasene Harris of whom she was very close and the two remained inseparable until the end, Jeffrey Lee Stepbrothers and sisters, Sarah Lee Harris, Flora Harris David, and Phoenix Canty; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
