Myra Louise Wofford was born in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania on November 27, 1947\. She was the loving daughter born to late Mary Givner Knowles and James Givner. She attended the Sharpsburg School District graduating from Sharpsburg High School. After graduation Myra continued her education while working at Sears & Robucks in the evening. She was then employed at the Duquesne Light Company and worked their faithfully for over 30 years. Myra met and married William Wofford Jr. and together they raised their beautiful daughters, Marcetta, Shirley, and Mary along his children, Wilma, Bill, Norman, Damita, and Dreada. Myra was a member of Mt. Horne Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She later became member the Guardian City United Methodist Church where her love for playing the piano and singing continued. Myra enjoyed spending quality time with her family and she loved playing bingo. On June 16, 2020 Myra departed this life for life eternal. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Hubert Redd.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Yvonne Redd; brother, James Givner (Chris); children, Marcetta Wofford-Jones (Vincent), Shirley Wofford, Mary Wofford; grandchildren, Eric (Jen), Michael (Charmayne), Marcetta, Asia, and Deshaun; great-grandchildren, Attoria, Michael Jr., Cameron, Corey, Isabella, and Tamiya; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
