Minnie Lovelle Brooks was born in Lineville, Alabama, on June 28, 1933, to the Late Hugh and Minnie Lee Craig. She is the third child of eleven born to this union. She departed this life on Friday, March 24, 2023. Lovelle spent her early years in Lineville, Alabama attending Clay County Training School, where she graduated from high school in 1951. She furthered her education when she attended Alabama State University. After leaving Alabama, she moved to Pittsburgh, and Lovelle reunited with her family. Soon after, she joined Pittsburgh Revival Center, accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Lovelle united in marriage to Theodore Brooks on November 29, 1980, and she brought with her to this union her two children from a previous marriage, Janet Wilson-Salmon and Erick Wilson. Lovelle was employed by the Pittsburgh Diocese for many years and continued her employment until retirement at the Pittsburgh Board of Education as a teacher's Assistance. Lovelle has always been a sweet and loving mother, sister, and daughter; she will be missed. Lovelle was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Minnie Lee Craig; her husband, Theodore Brooks; sisters Flossie Lee Watts and Joyce Ann Smith; brothers, Terry Wayne Craig and Allen Howard Craig and son-in-law Keith Salmon Sr. Lovelle leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter Janet Salmon; her son Erick Wilson; her grandchildren Keith II (Whitney) and Kiana, five great-grandchildren Keith III, Kalvin, Kolin, Kleo, Melody: her siblings; sisters Frances Layne (James), Zelphia Sue Mitchell, brothers Forrest Craig (Sandy), Andrew Craig (Audrey), Jerry Craig (Shirley), Winford Rochelle Craig (Renee-Cookie) and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
