Michelle Yvette Franklin was born on April 23, 1967, Marie (Sheffield) Franklin and
the late Chester Franklin in Pittsburgh PA. God called Michelle home peacefully on
October 13,2021, while surrounded by loving family. Michelle was educated in the Pittsburgh
Public School System and the Clarissa School of Fashion Design. She continued her love and
flair for fashion design through several clothing stores, including Kaufmann's Department Store,
holding managerial positions at Hit or Miss and Dress Barn ,she gained employment with CVS
Specialty as a Patient Care Specialist. It was said of Michelle, "She was always quick to help her peers.
She was a friend to all, and made a long-lasting impact on anyone she came in contact with
She will be dearly missed".
Michelle excepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior as a young woman, because God gave
her a servant's heart, she fervently cared for others with compassion, kindness, and love.
Whether serving her favorite comfort foods or dishing funny sarcasm at family gatherings,
she could be counted on to serve. Michelle was constantly putting family and friend before
herself. She would often call to check on family members, was concerned about what others
were going through, offering encouragement and support, even if she was going through
something herself. Michelle was who she was because of her relationship with Jesus Christ.
As a mother, daughter, and grandmother, Michelle's love was unconditional. To our family,
she was more than a niece, cousin, and aunt; she was Shell. Winter and Zeni remember
"Gramma CoCo" playing games with them, playing music on her phone for them to sing
and dance to, and singing a morning and goodbye with them regularly. Our family will miss
Shell's beautiful smile, funny sarcasm, gentle personality, and the love that she shared with us.
There will always bee a special place in our hearts for her.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: Mother , Marie Elizabeth Franklin; son
Isaiah David Wilkerson; grandchildren, Winter Marie and Winter's sister, Zeni J'adore, and
a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
