Michele Denise Smith

On August 28, 1962, Michele Smith was born to the late Langston and Maire Smith in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She departed temporal life in preference to life eternal on June 6, 2023 after a long battle with illness.

Michele Smith was educated in the Penn Hills School District. She worked for many years at Mellon Bank: then she moved along to the Untied States Post Office where she worked 18 years before retiring.

Michele was blessed with two children, Arvetta and Carlos Smith, who were also raised in the Penn Hills area.

Michele had a passion for cooking and attended culinary school. She also loved going out to eat with her friends at various restaurants. Michele also enjoyed participating in the cancer marathons. Most of all, Michele loved spending time with he grandchildren.

Michele joined Mount Ararat Baptist Church in 2000.

Michele was proceeded in death by her Father, Langston Smith; mother, Marie Smith; and brothers; Stevie and Eric Smith. 

She leaves to mourn her children, Arvetta and Carlos Smith; brothers: Anthony (Brenda) and Carlos Smith; grandchildren: Elijah Mobley, Major and Marley Smith: a very special niece, Danielle Anderson (Clayton): and many nieces and nephews.
