Michael Smith ("Mr. Krispy") Young

At the age of 53, Michael fell asleep in death on July 13, 2025. He grew up in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, and he leaves behind his son Mike Jr, his mother and four brothers, Jack, Ronald, Robert and Regginald. And a host of family and friends. As a youth, Mike enjoyed break dancing and back flipping with his brothers and friends. He was also an excellent artist who could draw just about anything. His true passion was to learn how to cut hair. His first job was at Market Square downtown. Michael began to teach others to cut and eventually had his shop, which he was very proud of accomplishing. His brother is a barber as well... One of Mike's favorite things was eating breakfast at different restaurants, and his favorite was old-fashioned mac and cheese. Michael's family wants to thank you for your support at this difficult time. We will greatly miss Mike, aka Mr. Krispy.
