Obituary

Megan Joy Campbell, daughter of Joan Campbell was born January 14, 1984, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She attended the Pittsburgh Public School system and graduated from Westinghouse High School. Megan, having love for people continued her education pursuing a career in nursing, earning her LPN. After several years of continued education, she received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing and became a certified Registered Nurse in 2020. She worked in home health for many years and most recently was hired as the Director of Nursing at North Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
Megan loved the Most High and was a faithful member of the Gathering of Christ Church, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
Megan enjoyed life and loved her family. However, the joy of her life was her daughter Lyla. There was nothing that Megan wouldn’t do for her daughter. She worked tirelessly to assure Lyla had an excellent education and because of her extraordinary gift of art she encouraged painting, chalked, and drew whatever came to her mind.
Megan had a superb personality, and her smile would grip your heart. Her heart was big, big enough for everyone. Megan enjoyed spending time with her friends while Lyla accompanied her and had fun with their children. They enjoyed all things nature. From birthday parties, cook-outs, and vacationing Megan and Lyla enjoyed life.
Megan had the opportunity to visit Jamaica, the birthplace of her mother, a couple of times. Megan loved spending time with her friends and her friends’ children, celebrating life. Megan had a relaxed personality; she loved to laugh and didn’t sweat the small stuff. She loved to crack jokes with her family, especially her big brother Shawn whom she had a very close relationship with.
Megan departed this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Louise Loggins.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family: her mother Joan Campbell, her brother, Shawn (LaKisha) Campbell; niece and nephews, Maieisha, Taireice, and Dajuan and a host of family members and cherished friends near and far.

                         Lyla Giselle Campbell
Lyla Giselle Campbell, daughter of Megan Campbell and Pedro Santiago was born on December 19, 2015, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Megan was excited about her baby girl. She was determined that Lyla would have the best. While pursuing her degrees, grandmother Joan played an integral part in Lyla’s life. Lyla could always be seen by Grandma Joan side. Her love for her granddaughter was unmatched. From changing diapers, rocking to her sleep, taking Lyla for walks, feeding her and teaching her first words, Grandma Joan was there.
Lyla loved her Uncle Shawn and playing in his beard. Her laughter was contagious as she enjoyed precious moments with him and her Aunt Lakeisha and cousins, Maieisha, Taireice, and Dajuan. While visiting Uncle Shawn and family Lyla was full of energy and loved to play and jump.... She would jump and run constantly playing in the flowers and mulch and when she was told Lyla “You have to come out of the flowers”... she would respond,... “Uncle Shawn I’m only making a design. (smile)
Early in Lyla’s years her passion for artist was displayed. Both Megan and Grandma Joan encouraged and inspired Lyla to draw, paint and create. Her paintings and drawings will remain perfect memories for both family and friends.
Lyla was a student at Trinity Christian School and was loved by everyone. She loved to pick flowers and give them to teachers and friends. Lyla loved to be outside in nature, drawing pictures with chalk, digging for bugs, and blowing bubbles.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Lyla departed this life. However, Lyla’s life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends, and she will never be forgotten.
