Mary Joanne (White) Harris

Mary JoAnne Harris was born on August 30, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was one of six beloved children of Joseph L. and Elizabeth Ann Harris. On Friday, August 30, 2024. Mary JoAnne departed this life for her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior. She was a very conservative, God fearing woman who spoke her mind and gave you loving advice. She accepted Christ into her Life at an early age and she became a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in 2004.

Mary was educated and excelled in the Pittsburgh Public School system and graduated from Peabody High School (Obama Academy). Mary was a dedicated and hard working person as she was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank for over 30 years.

What she loved most was being a mother and grandmother. Mary was preceded in death by her younger sister Rev. Edith Partlow. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her mother Elizabeth Harris, sister Sharon Keyes, brothers Rev. Howard Washington (Tuarone), Joseph Harris Jr. (Marina), and Robert Harris (Christian). Two sons Delbert Thurston Harris III, Daniel James Harris, one daughter Amber Nicole Harris & step daughter Ava Goggins. Five grand children, Ariah Nicole Wensel-Harris, Isaiah James Wensel-Harris, Josiah Daniel Wensel-Harris, London Marie Jones & Zahara Marie Harris. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her beloved dog Lexi Nicole Harris who held a special place in her heart.
