Marlyn Owens

Marlyn (Greene) Owens of Penn Hills passed away unexpectantly yet peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 1, 1933. She worked for Carnegie Mellon Food Service Department for more than 20 years. After retirement, Marlyn enjoyed cooking, music, and traveling to visit family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Al Joseph Owens, parents Elizabeth and Major Greene, Brothers, Zylphus Greene, Joseph Greene, Fred Greene, and John Greene, and beloved sister Dorothy Mae (Greene) Grimmett.

Marlyn leaves to cherish her memory Daughter Dr. Kristal C. Owens, sons Al Joseph Owens Jr. and Harlyn J. Owens along with 6 grandchildren, and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Social Gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Penn Hills Multi-purpose Center 2025 Lincoln Road, Verona, PA 15147. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church Penn Hills 7450 Chadwick Street Pittsburgh PA, 15235.
