Mahdi Anthony Williams entered this world on October 31, 1965, and departed his earthly home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
Mahdi was born to Shirley Williams and Melvin Douglas Williamson, he was one of five children and grew up in the Hill District area of Pittsburgh, PA. It was on the "Hill" that he met his lifetime partner of 20 years, Jam Williams. Later they moved to Wilkinsburg where they raised 7 children.
He was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System, attended Schenley High School, and held several jobs over the years. Mahdi was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed listening to music in the park, was a Steeler fan, and a very stylish dresser as well.
Mahdi was a beloved brother to Ray Shawn, Melbo, Michelle, Shannel, and Edna Burgess. He was a loving father to Mahdi Jr., Marcus, Malcolm, Markita, Malik, Montreal, and Maurice. He was also a grandfather to 11 grandchildren.
He leaves behind a loving host for family, friends, and his extended family in Narcotics Anonymous.
Mahdi was fun-loving, he was a brother, father, and a friend to many, and will surely be missed by everyone who knew him.
