Mable Williams Obituary

Mable Adams-Williams was a kind, gentle, and compassionate woman whose life was a quiet but powerful testimony of love, patience, and service. Known for her warm smile and forgiving spirit, Mable carried herself with grace and humility. She touched the lives of many through her selfless nature, tender heart, and unwavering willingness to care for others, especially those in need.

Mable was born on December 20, 1950, to the late Miller and Mary Adams. She was the youngest of six children, four boys and two girls—and was lovingly raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she spent her entire life. Mable attended the Pittsburgh Public School system and graduated from Westinghouse High School.

Mable dedicated over thirty years of faithful service to the Allegheny County Attorney’s Office, where she later retired. In addition to her primary career, she also worked at John Kane Hospital and Lemington Home. Mable had a genuine love for working with elderly residents and took great pride in caring for and assisting them. Her compassion, patience, and gentle spirit made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Mable lived a quiet and peaceful life. She found joy in watching classic black-and-white movies and game shows and often spent her evenings relaxing at home with the television remote in hand. These simple moments brought her great comfort and happiness.

Known for her sweet spirit, Mable was quick to forgive and always chose peace. Though she kept a small circle, her friendships were meaningful and lifelong. One of her favorite pastimes was gathering with family, especially her mother and relatives, to enjoy playing poker and sharing laughter together.

After a lengthy illness, Mable peacefully departed this life on January 2, 2026. Just weeks earlier, she joyfully celebrated her 75th birthday on December 20, surrounded by her brothers, sisters-in-law, and her sister in California. She delighted in her favorite treats— potato chips and Pepsi—bringing smiles to all who shared that special moment with her.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Miller and Mary Adams, and her brothers, Howard and Roland Adams. She leaves cherished memories to her brothers, Miller Adams (Bonnie) and Douglas Adams (Lynn), both of Pittsburgh; her sister, Anna Titus (Leroy) of California; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers. Mable’s kindness, generosity, and gentle love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Rest in peace, dear sister.
