Lori J. Pollard
Lori JoAnn Pollard was born on December 26, 1960, the 4th of 5 daughters born to the late Rev. Dr. T. I. Pollard and his wife, the late Madeline (Gilchrist) Pollard in Pittsburgh, PA. After a rather lengthy illness, she made her transition to heaven on Monday, October 23, 2023.
Lori was educated in the Pittsburgh and McKeesport Public School Systems, graduating in 1979. She confessed her faith & belief in Jesus Christ, received salvation, and was baptized at an early age She was very active in church, serving in Church School, and was faithful to service until she could no longer attend.
Lori was warm, friendly, and funny! She inherited the “cooking gene” from her mother and loved to cook and feed EVERYBODY! She was genuine, spoke her heart, extended patience & grace to everyone, and loved her family deeply.
She leaves to treasure their recollections her greatest loves, her daughter, Diasha Starks, and her granddaughter, Kyleigh Colbert; 4 sisters, Norma Morton, Christina Sweeney, Jacqueline Wallace, Rev. Robin Pollard; 3 nieces, JerVay Rodgers, Shafond Wallace, KaTina Sweeney; 2 nephews Kevin Pollard (Julia), George Gilchrist (Beckii); 9 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews; 1 great-great niece; 2 aunts, Barbara Gans and Eleanor Gilchrist and numerous cousins, “family” and friends who were all recipients of her love, time and devotion.
