Linda Joyce Huguley was born on July 5, 1948, in Chicago Illinois to Joseph Duncan Sr. and Rosalie Augustus. Within the same year of Linda’s birth, they relocated to Pittsburgh, Pa. where they resided in the Hill District. She was the eldest of four. Linda received her early education in the Pittsburgh Public School System. She later moved to Bronx, New York where she received her high school education at Dodge Vocational High school and graduated in 1967. While living in New York, she rekindled her relationship with John L. Huguley Sr. The two were married in Harlem, New York and had their beloved children John L. Huguley Jr. and Princess Ferguson. The family relocated to Washington, DC and after 8 years Linda decided to move back to Pittsburgh Pa. Linda accepted Christ as her lord and savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church where she was a part of many different ministries. Throughout her life, Linda worked only two jobs. She started as a waitress and continued her career working at AT&T where she worked for 30+ years. She retired in 2003 after years of hard work. Linda was affectionately called “Joyce” “Aunt Joyce”, Mommy, Grandma or G-Ma. Linda was extremely passionate about helping others. She was loving, supportive, nurturing, strong and independent. Peacefully, on January 18, 2024, Linda transitioned from life on earth to her eternal home with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalie Augustus (James), Joseph Duncan Sr (Rosalie); brother Eugene Francis Duncan. She leaves to cherish her memories, her sisters Martha Duncan and Jozette Gates, her children; John L. Huguley Jr. (Leslie), Maurice Turner (Staci), Princess Ferguson (Tim), Khing Fredrick, Chanel and Dante Duncan; her grandchildren; Jazmine Stewart (Carlton) Quinton Huguley (Kaisha), Brandon Huguley, Drayvon Tyler, Taylin Tyler, Bria Huguley, and a bonus grandson Darren Jr. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
