Linda Joyce Foreman was born to Jim and Edna Pemberton on July 29, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA. On April 8, 2024, Linda transitioned peacefully to the will of Almighty God when he called her home.
Linda was well-protected growing up since she had three protective brothers. She attended Simon Gratz High School. From there, she enlisted in the Army where she became an M16 Marksman, and should not surprise you that she received medals of good conduct. While in the military playing basketball, she fell in love with the coach and he became the love of her life, Lee "Tiny" Foreman. They became one in September of 1984. They lived in multiple cities but settled in Pittsburgh, PA where they remained for 36 years of marriage.
Linda worked several jobs, but her favourite was the 10 years that she worked as a Law clerk for Eckert Seamans.
Linda was a humble, generous person who loved spending time with her family. Her favourite moments were when the old-school music would get her hubby Tiny moving. She would watch him and giggle like a schoolgirl until he convinced her to join him.
Anyone who knows Linda knows she lived a miraculous life as a survivor! An absolute overcome! Both tough and tender! Having survived cancer three times, a brain aneurysm, emphysema, chronic asthma and a litany of other medical challenges, nothing could ever steal her joy! Shhh... if you listen now, you might be able to hear the joyful infectious laugh. You can only smile when you hear it!
Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Kale Foreman; her birth parents, Jim and Edna Pemberton; and her brothers Jimmy and James Pemberton. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Alan (Desiree) Pemberton, and William Robert Foreman and her daughter, Renita (Devante) Lewis; her brother, William Edward Pemberton and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
