Leroy Morgan Sr. was born on September 6, 1956, to the late Lanie Mae Johnson and Willie Ivory Morgan. On January 30, 2026, at 3:17 p.m., he peacefully transitioned from this life.
Leroy attended Perry Traditional Academy and later pursued vocational training, earning his welding license. He began his career working in the steel mill industry. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced professionally and eventually became the Head Supervisor of Mechanics at #1 Cochran Dealership in Monroeville, where he faithfully served for many years. Leroy was also a member Oak Hill Resident Council where he served his community with pride.
He was a proud member of a biker group known as "Aftermath," where he was affectionately known as "G-Dogg." Leroy had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time at the gun range.
Leroy was a strong and independent man who firmly believed in the value of hard work and the power of determination. Stern yet loving, he instilled strength and resilience in his family. Above all, he deeply loved his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their lives.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Lakish Pryor, Jae Morgan, Courtney Morgan, and Leroy Morgan Jr.; his cherished grandchildren: Imani Morgan, Jamiyah Steele, Camryn Lynn Morgan, and Liam Morgan; his great-grandchild, Noah Rhian; his loving sisters: Joyce Gordon, Anna Lois Shelton, Claudia Davis, Belinda Davis, Darlene Morgan, and Carol Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
