Kevin Michael Stephens, affectionately known as Kevvy Kev, was born on July 3, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William and Patricia Stephens.
Kevin attended Peabody High School where he graduated from in 1984. While he was in high school, Kev played on the Varsity football team & he also performed in the All City Band. Kev was a very intelligent student who competed in spelling bees & he was very good in Mathematics. Unknown to many, Kev was musically gifted & knew how to play several different musical instruments.
Kevin was a notable business man who co-owned and operated multiple daycare centers as well as several nightclubs around the city for greater than 10 years.
Kevin was employed with Invision for 16 years and was a very integral part of their staff. He had a huge personality with an equally huge heart to match. He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan & he loved to travel. Anyone he came across would leave with two things: a smile and a new friend. He was extremely fond of his family and he loved them very much.
Kevin was a steadfast pillar, not only in his family but also in the Pittsburgh area where he continuously made and kept connections. Those who knew him had the utmost respect for him, which is what fostered those genuine connections. He was a member of Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful servant of God and was proud to tell anyone he encountered.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, William Stephens. Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé, Valerie Hillard, his mother Patricia Stephens, his son Kevin Stephens, Jr., his brothers George Stephens (Karen) and William Stephens, Jr., his sisters Sandy Moore, and Elaine Stephens (Leonard), cousin Santanna White, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
