On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Judith finished her assignment here on Earth and earned her heavenly reward. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 22, 1941, to Foster Brooks and Esther Brooks Thomas. She was educated in the Pittsburgh Public Schools and graduated from Westinghouse High School.
Judith married Lawrence Reaves on August 28, 1965, and to this union, three children were born, Lawrence, Kent, and Tiffani. Judith was a lifelong domestic engineer. She was always prepared and planning. She loved taking care of her family, instilling the word of God, great meals, and making sure the family had everything we ever needed. She always said she had 2 full-time jobs taking care of her family and she didn’t have time to work outside the home.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church. Judy loved her shoes and purses and planting flowers in the spring. Judy was classy not flashy, she was quiet, private, observant, she was direct and intentional with her words.
Judith leaves to cherish her memory devoted husband Larry, of 58 years, her children, Lawrence (Mikki) Reaves, Kent Reaves, Tiffani (Elmer) Long. Grandchildren Jamerah Reaves, Dejah Reaves, Marcus Long, Christopher Reaves, Nathan Long and one Great-Grandson Damani Brewer, dedicated niece Debbie, and 28 Cousins.
