Reflecting Jolyn Marlene Smith
Mother,daughter,sister,friend and mentor Jolyn Marlene Smith was born April 17th 1956 to the late Mother Anna B Smith and Joseph Smith.
Jolyn was Born in Donora Pa where she spent most of her time growing up between there and Brooklyn New York. Jolyn Graduated high school at Sheepshead Bay High school in Brooklyn. Later years Jolyn received her associates degree in Paralegal from the University Of Pittsburgh.
She worked as a paralegal in Pittsburgh and also as a home health care aid. Jolyn loved spending time with her family, cooking her favorite foods, talking on the phone with her favorite people, enjoying life, and praising the Lord.
Jolyn was a member of Petra International ministries in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. Where she devoted her life to the Lord and was grateful for all his blessings.
Jolyn is survived by son, Skyler Carter of Pittsburgh, Pa and daughter, Taylor Carter of Orlando, Florida. Three grandchildren, Si’eir, Nasya and Savion Carter, one sister Joyce (David) Warden, of Sorrento, Florida, one niece Dedra (Bryan) Roberson of Fort Worth, Texas and one nephew Kasheim Williams of Orlando, Florida. A long time friend Deborah Langhorn of Pittsburgh, PA, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Jolyn’s life will forever live on as she impacted so many lives.
