John "Jake" C. Harris

Son of the late John D. & Cleo C. Harris. Father of John C. "Butch" Harris (Karen) and Michael E. " Mike" Harris (Angel) of Pittsburgh .

Stepfather to Everett Bond of Washington State. Brother to Cleo "Pattie" Fields of Maryland and Charlotte Jackson of Pennsylvania.

Grandfather of Michael D., Kayla, Shartera, Alliyah, and Jonnae Harris. Great- grandfather to Aubrey and Mason Harris.

"Jake was born and educated in Pittsburgh. He moved to California in 1975 where he  secured employment with the city of Los Angeles.

  he retired from that work in 2000 and shortly thereafter worked briefly for the Pomona School District. " Jake" loved to play , teach, and

watch basketball and swimming. He was very good in both sports. "Jake" was married to Deborah Greenwade-Bond for many years.

 He later met and became engaged to Patricia "Pat" Andrews, who loved and cared for him until his untimely passing. All who knew

him would agree that he was a no-nonsense man;but enjoyed  a joke or laugh even about himself.

He leaves to mourn their loss, a dear devoted fiance' Patricia Andrews, two sons Butch and Mike,

two sisters, Cleo "Patti" and Charlotte, three nephews,Tony Fields, Delante' Sample, and Johnte' Jackson,

two nieces Kimm Jackson and Jessica Fields, a very special niece Glynnis Pondexter and loving cousin

Geraldine Carter Farrish as well as many more relatives and friends.

We all loved and cherish the time we had with "Jake" and remember his infectious laugh.
