John F. Morgan Obituary

     John F. Morgan "Dickey", 76, of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, transitioned from his earthy life on Monday, June 22, 2020.

    John was born on February 2, 1944 to Ernestine Kurley and Johnie F. Morgan in Gadsden, Alabama. He graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in 1962. John Retired as a supervisor from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History after 25 years of service. On December 10, 2017, Johnie married his sweetheart of 35 years.

     You could find Johnie watching various sports events on television or in person, with his favorite sport being basketball. John was also a avid poker player. He loved to travel visiting several countries on his many vacations. John could often be found surrounded by his loved ones having enlightening conversations filled with laughter.

     John is perceded by his parents, Ernestine Kerley and Johnie F. Morgan, his brothers Leonard Thompson and Gerald Harrison Sr., son Warren Morgan, and Niece Makebla Morgan. John is survived by his loving wife and life partner of 38 years, Virginia Morgan; his children Terry Ford, Jaron Morgan, Tracey Hampton, Sarita Acquah, Jimmy Morgan, Anthony Means and Carol Morgan. His siblings Gwendolyn Scott, Terry Morgan, Darwynn Barwick, Renita Williams (Randy), Darlene Nutall (Gregory Sr), Kenneth Harrison and Lenora Johnson. Aunts Rebecca Florence and Dorothy Harrison. 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and dearest friends Ed Wright (Denise) and Jimmy Wood (Virginia) along with a host of nieces, Nephews and friends.
