John Allen Obituary

John Lewis Allen was born in McKeesport, Pa on August 26, 1957 into the union of Robena Casey and Lucas Allen Jr. He was born the fifth of nine children. He was affectionately called the “baby boy” by his mother and siblings.

John left high school to join the military in November of 1974. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp in November of 1980.  He went on to work for various companies such as Maica Products, Time Warner Cable Company, and Adelphia Cable Company. John was a simple and uncomplicated man with a witty sense of humor. He had a passion for fun adventures which was evident through his love of motorcycles. He had a great appreciation for music and could often be found enjoying his favorite tunes old and new.

On November 25th, 1995 John dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He later met and married his wife Dawn in September of 1996. From that union they had one child Aleeyah Allen. In May of 2001 John experienced a life threatening motorcycle accident which rendered him unable to work. With determination and faith in his heavenly father he learned to walk again and would often volunteer by participating in the Auxiliary Pioneering work where he would share the kingdom message with those whom he met. Although John experienced many health struggles throughout the following years he was comforted by the thought of returning back to his youthful vigor as Job 33:25 says “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth. Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor”.

John passed away peacefully on September 25, 2020 at the Manor Care Nursing home in Monroeville. Proceeding John in death are his grandparents Edwin and Elsie Kirkpatrick, his mother and father, his sister Jolanda Casey, and brother DeWayne Allen.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Dawn Allen, his two daughters Tacarra and Aleeyah Allen, his son Anthony Flood, his five sisters Osa Payne (Humphrey),Patrice Payne, Jacqueline Jenkins, Jennifer McDougal(Charlton), Joanne Lundy, one brother Edwin Allen, his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

As John rest peacefully in death, we all look forward to the time when we will see him again in a paradise new earth.
