Joann Kelly

Joann Kelly was born on February 3, 1951 and peacefully entered into eternal rest with her daughter by her side on Monday, January 20, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents James "Jimmie" Kelly Jr. and Barbra "Bobby" Kelly. 

Joann was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system and graduated from Schenley High School. Upon graduation she began her career at the US Postal Service where she worked and retired after 40 years of service. 

In 1970 Joann was blessed with the birth of her only child Tambra, who in turn blessed her with two grandchildren that she absolutely adored. Taylor and Armani were her pride and joy, and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them.

Joann loved her family and always was willing to do whatever was needed of her. Joann has one loving brother "Peter", but she also had eight other brothers and sisters as her mother Barbara  and aunt Evelyn raised their kids together. The older ones literally did everything together, and their childhood stories could bring you tears with laughter. So, Joann and Peter were more than cousins to Gwen, Curtis, Larry ( Deceased ), Rosemary, Gerald, Robert, Monica and Carol.

Joann also shared 45 years with companion James Hill, which they enjoyed the casino's and traveling. The two loved to entertain in their home and really knew how to have a good time and enjoy life. 

She leaves to cherish sweet memories, daughter Tambra (Roderick), granddaughter Taylor, grandson Armani, brother James "Peter" (Debbie), two aunts Ressie Martin, of Pittsburgh PA, Lessie Williams, of Leeds AL, and one uncle James E. Kelly also from Leeds AL, longtime companion James Hill and a host of other relatives and friends.
