Jetho Nanikram Chandiramani

In Loving Memory…

Jetho Chandiramani of Monroeville, PA passed away on August 2nd, 2024 at the age of 78, after an inspiring fight from a brain tumor diagnosis in December of 2022. Jetho was known as a beloved friend to the community, a dedicated husband and father to his wife Vandana and two children, Monesh and Rachna. He was a doting grandfather to his three grandchildren, Nysa, Ayaan and, Sahana, who meant the world to him. Jetho loved his daughter-in-law Resshma and son-in-law Ludwig, like they were his own. 

Jetho was born in the province of Sindh, pre-partition India to Nanikram and Gopibai Chandiramani as one of six children. Though settling in Pittsburgh, PA, he had a continued strong sense of pride of his Indian heritage. Jetho had an incredible work ethic, running a branch of a family clothing business, Montaj Custom Tailors. He lived out the American dream, moving to the USA in 1972 and creating a skillful reputation for himself as a businessman, selling custom-made clothing with his warm personality and known dapper style- always in a suit!

Jetho is best known for his jolly and joking nature. He had a deep kindness, an infectious smile and was always ready to help someone in need. Friends recall fond memories of Jetho being the life of the party, as he and his wife have been true pillars within their community, creating a home often hosting loved ones and forging ever-lasting relationships. There is nothing Jetho would not do for his friends and family, and they all know that.

To know Jetho was to love him. He had a one-of-a-kind type of heart.
