Jamie Jones Obituary

Jaime Lynn Jones, affectionately known as "Pretty Jaime" was born on April 9, 1976, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Marlene Wood and the late Richard"Groove" Wood. Pretty Jaime transitioned from her earthly body to her heavenly home on May 19, 2022, surrounded by family.

In 1994 Jaime graduated from David B. Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, PA where she participated in numerous activities including cheerleading, student council, and the pre-law program. Upon GraduationPretty Jaime attended Carlow College where she majored in law.

Jaime's walk with Christ began as a young girl. Every Sunday she could be found at Morning Star Baptist Church of Glenwood, PA in their youth choir. Later Christ would lead her to Second Baptist Church of Homestead, PA where she was a proud member of the Gospelites Choir. As she continued to follow Christ, He led her to serve at Grater Destiny World Ministry.

Her proudest moment occurred on June 16, 1998, when she gave birth to her "Sonny-BunnyBoy", her "Poompsy-Whoompsy" Wilford Clark, Jr. Everything Poomps did made her proud! He is her greatest accomplishment and she didn't shy away from letting the world know.

In 2001 Jaime met Keith Jones and by June of 2009, they were joined in matrimony.

Jaime was employed by major companies such as Wild Pair, Top Notch Hair Salon, Verizon, and the County Controller's Office. her boss moves were investing in herself as an entrepreneur with Mama Rene's and launching Ms. J's Catering, Jaime wore a number of hats up to and including becoming a notary, campaigning for local politicians, and an active Dream Girl all at the same time.

Jaime's favorite pastime was traveling the world. Her list of places she has traveled is extensive from Hawaii to Aruba to Paris to watch the Steelers play. She attended the Kentucky Derby, in Kentucky even the Grammys in Los Angeles. She also loved to blast her music and dance to her sister, Beyonce'. She loved Beyonce' her family, cooking, and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Jaime departed this life and was reunited in Heaven with her beloved grandparents: Hilda and Ralley Chandler; her father: Richard Wood; and her Godson: Neil Chandler, Jr.

Pretty Jaime will truly be missed as the glue that held her family together. She leaves to cherish her memory, her Mother Marlene Wood, her children Wilford Clark, Jr., Andre Twyman, Portia Thompson, and Chanel Hayden; her grandmother Deloris Powell and her siblings Rhonda Wood and Richard Wood, Jr. (Kaelen) as well as her nephews, Dorian Wood, Donnie Bates, Richard Wood III, Tristan Wood, and her nieces, Courtney "Niecy Pooh" Johnson, Corey Johnson, Taylor Culpepper, and Melaija Henderson, 11 grandchildren; "The Original Aunnie" Lila Rice; Sister-friends: Jou-al Burwell, & Tenel Dorsey: honorary brother: Charles Strothers; godchildren: Dallas Timber and Gabri-Elle Burwell, the Dream Girlz and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to name.
